Welcome to D&D Fallout

Welcome, wanderer, to the world of D&D: Fallout Bristol. This website is a work in progress, revolving around my D&D: Fallout themed homebrew campaign.

I've adapted, and thrown out, a lot of the 5e mechanics to fit the post-apocalyptic world of Fallout. In doing so, I have made a lot of my own resources and stat blocks. I've decided to use this website to share my work, in case anyone wants to make their own 5e Fallout (or post-apocalyptic futuristic) D&D campaign, as well as for my own ease of use.

I am aware that there's already a 2d20 tabletop game for Fallout. But I've been playing 5e for too long to learn a new gaming format. I'm also aware that this Fallout campaign is set in the UK. That's only because I don't live in the United States. Also, to be fair, every Fallout game has been set in the USA, except for the fanmade Fallout: London mod for Fallout 4. I have not played the Fallout:London  mod yet. If the mod adds any mechanics to the Fallout games, or mentions any lore for the United Kingdom, I'm not aware of it. If this campaign, or any of it's resources, conflict with the mod's storytelling (or the official in-game universe.) I'm sorry.

I'll include modified character sheets, homebrew rules, "magical" items, stat blocks, settlements, factions and maps over time. I'll also be adding new monster and creature stat blocks. Some that haven't appeared previously in the core 5e monster manuals or Fallout before.

Most of the homebrew rules will revolve around modernising 5e rules to fit a more modern and science-fiction based universe, as well as dealing with things such as radiation effects and survival mechanics.

I will also be adding food and drinks from the Fallout universe, a well as other in universe items.

Feel free to explore the resources and use what you want. Lots of the page transitions have Pipboy inspired effects for immersion, pressing the skip button will take you to the page faster!

What do you need to get started?

Let me start off by saying that I am in no way affiliated with Bethesda, Wizard of the Coast, Fallout or Dungeons and Dragons. But I will tell you that "war never changes," and "another settlement needs your help." This is a fan project that requires a working understanding of Dungeons and Dragons (Fifth Edition) mechanics. I will not be 'teaching' you D&D 5e rules and mechanics.

Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) is a popular tabletop role-playing game where players create characters and embark on fantasy adventures. One player, the Dungeon Master (Often refered to as a DM), guides the story and controls the game's world, while the other players make choices and roll dice to determine their characters' "actions." It's a collaborative storytelling experience that emphasizes imagination and social interaction. Anyone who needs to brush up on their D&D rules and mechanics can do so by reading the 5e Players Handbook. The Dungeon Master's Guide would also be recommended. Clicking either icon will take you to links to buy either resource if required. Anyone not sure on how to play Dungeons & Dragons can watch either of these two videos from the official Dungeons & Dragons youtube channel below.

A working knowledge of Fallout is preferred, but not essential. Fallout is a video game franchise set in a post-apocalyptic, retro-futuristic world devastated by nuclear war. The games explore the consequences of this war and the struggles of the people who survive in the wasteland. Playing any of the actual games will give you plenty of understanding of the world. There is also the Amazon TV Show.

The only additional "thing" I have been using for this homebrew campaign that isn't addressed or cannot be added by this site is a dice which is included with the Fallout: Roleplaying Game Starter Set. This dice is a D20 that has body parts labelled on it instead of numbers. This is a dice that me and my players like to now during combat, as it randomises where attacks land in a way that feels authentic to the D&D experience. The dice are sold as part of the Starter Set but are also available on their own, however, they're not cheap, and they are in no way essential.
